Our post about the problems associated with converting an opposite sex civil partnership to a marriage in England and Wales has generated quite a lot of interest – evidently a fair few people are encountering this issue.
Someone has pointed out that the rules are different in Scotland where couples who have a civil partnership registered outside Scotland can marry without first having to dissolve their partnership.
So maybe that is the answer – head for Gretna Green?
